Part-time employees in a "Coded" position are eligible to enroll in the County's health benefits. The premium cost is pro-rated according to the number of hours worked during a pay period.  Please contact your Department Service Center for more information regarding premium rates. There are options available to you should you move out of the service area of a particular plan. Please review slides 10-14 of the Retiree Benefits Overview PowerPoint​​. If you are moving outside of California, you will need to select a new option for your healthcare plan. Contact Social Security Administration to get information about enrolling in Medicare. In order to maintain your retiree medical coverage, you must enroll in Medicare Parts A & B when you turn age 65 and are eligible for Medicare. The County offers group health plan coverage to eligible retirees. An eligible retiree is one who meets the required years of continuous service with the County and retires from the County and CalPERS at the same time. If you require further assistance, please enter your inquiry below.​

The County offers an annual Open Enrollment Period for Retiree Medical Benefits in the month of May. During this time, you have the opportunity to make changes to your benefits. Please contact your designated HR Representative if you have any questions. To access your pay stubs, visit your “My Employment” section within the SCC Connect Portal. Click on "ePay" > "My Payroll" to view and download a copy of your paystub.
